|
|
FULL STORY
"Chelsea will be the highest-rated team in the UEFA rankings when the Champions League draw is made in Monaco on Thursday, despite losing on penalties to Manchester United in last season's final. On results in Europe over the last five seasons Chelsea are the highest seeds in the UEFA coefficient list... ahead of Liverpool, Barcelona, Arsenal and United, with Liverpool and Arsenal expected to overcome Standard Liege and FC Twente in this week's third qualifying round second legs.
"However, Chelsea cannot come up against Jose Mourinho in the group stage as Inter Milan will also be among the eight top seeds. But English clubs could face another former Chelsea manager - Claudio Ranieri, now coach at Juventus. There is a potential group of death for the Premier League quartet who could be in a group with Bayern Munich, Juventus and Fenerbahce."

Hmm, and that my friend, will never happen, it's just a myth created by wishful thinking.
When Roman walks away, as he no doubt will once he has fulfilled his ultimate dream, he will simply sell the club to very very wealthy new owner/s for a huge sum, recouping a big portion of what he has spent.
Despite what some may choose to believe, if he has any concerns about the money he has spent, he's not going to destroy the very thing that he has spent it on, is he!
The fact of the matter is, Chelsea are in an extremely healthy position financially, much more so than any other PL club, and their 'debt' is not in reality a debt. Roman is extremely wealthy, and sees this project as an ambition, one that he is prepared to 'spend' (lose) money on to achieve his dream.
Dream on, Roman does! _________________ <(>< C <(>< A <(>< R <(>< P <(>< A <(>< D <(>< D <(>< I <(>< C <(>< T <(><

Whilst it is true to say that Chesea FC have no "external" debt, they
nevertheless have an interest free loan of £587M payable to
their owner...
Should his enthusiasm ever wain...accounts show it would have to
be re-paid within 18 months...
Still....they hope to break even by 2009/10...so they can start saving up...
