Very good voice mate, but I do think she sounded a little like Chrissie Hynde from The Pretenders.

The video isn't one of the band videos; someone from the oilfields put it together and I like it even better than the original! You'll get a look at northern Alberta and the oil and gas boom thanks to
Corb Lund and the Hurtin' Albertans. (I'd turn it up if I were you!)

And since I'm in the mood, a couple of tunes composed by the late Rufus Guinchard from Newfoundland. I met Rufus in 1986 when Jim Payne brought him out to play our club. Rufus was 87 years old and he'd never been more than 75 miles from where he was born, and Jim put him on an airplane and took him to Vancouver to Expo 86 and showed him off to the world. He told me, "I want to fly everywhere now!" Rufus would get on stage and play for 45 min. or so, then he'd sit and have a few drinks, then he'd get up and dance with the girls for a half hour or so, then back on stage..... and he kept going all night! That sort of reckless living finally took his life at 91 so we should all be warned.
