new lake advice

hi my name is Alex im 18 and i am new to this forum, im going to be fishing horseshoe lake at the end of october.
any advice?

this will be my first time at the lake, and would like some ideas about avoiding the weed and some thoughts on baits and spod mixes.

does anyone know were the double pegs are at horseshoe, and if they are in good areas for this time of the year?

going by what others have told us, (not been myself) that its all about finding em as it is on most waters, a couple of aproaches work, chuckin bags on their heads and keep mobile, also big beds of bait and leave em too it
