Are they going to be the new Chelsea and buy their way to the top? An owner with unlimited funds, the next transfer window should be interesting, according to the paper (Must be true ) they are going for Essien and Gerrard.
If they do end up challenging for the league is that good for football?

I seem to remember Blackburn quite literally buying a league way before Chelsea injected huge volumes of "new" cash into the football scene. Despite many of us looking for cracks and waiting "with a told ya so" phrase on our lips, Roman does appear to be keen on staying.
As to City, time will tell. I don't see Chelsea selling Essien, nor Liverpool getting rid of Gerrard, who has the teams blood running through his veins.
Sir "we are not worthy" Ferguson, will positively relish the challenge that "new" money and players bring. I am equally convinced that his successor will revel in it all too
But as we all know, the secret to big time success, is longevity/consistency. Once Chelsea settle on a manager that can last for more than a couple of seasons, Liverpool can find one that can manage them, then the real challenge will be on.
In Sparky(Hughes), City have no mug. Providing they can keep hold of him, he invests time in a real and valid youth policy(and he already is), the vast money is injected in the right way, then the rewards will follow.
Every season brings a new set of challenges and "only" once in a while one of them challenges are another football team

I think it will be good hopefully it might get rid of this big four business but it will be interesting to see what players go there for the money because city have no history. _________________ when your going though hell keep going - Winston churchill |

What do you class as "history" then mate
As for ridding the big 4, at the moment there's only 2 Manure and Chelski. Arsenal and Liverpool can't compete with them over a season, either on the pitch or in the transfer market.
Apart from it being easy(ish) to predict who's going to win the league The Premiership must be the best league in the world with the class of players/teams we have. With most of the teams being able to beat any other team in the league if they play to their strengths, you can't really say that in the Spanish or Italian leagues can you.
Whilst I will say Sky/Money has ruined football from what I knew when I 1st started watching the Rams this new Man City owner has brought a little excitement into it for the neutral fan...........hopefully anyway _________________ under 18? Get in THE ZONE
