| I spend most of the winter months in pursuit of Barbel, at present i hold the second biggest Barbel from the river severn 15lb 15oz that fish put up a fight and a half god knows what the spanish Barbel must fight like. |

Managed to see a picture of the biggest Barbel caught in the UK during 2007, well possibly, as can never be sure that bigger captures may been kept hush.
A mahoosive stunning creature. Unfortunately I do not have the captors permission to post the weight or location but with some luck it'll hit the media soon
