....or you are a live bait....
Whats the most universally successful and instant fish bait ?
I would suggest maggot.....And what,in essence,are Maggots?
Chitin covered bags of free amino acids...
They dont need to be a specific shape or colour....and dont need
added "Rhubarb & Custard" essence.
They have exactly the right credentials, nothing needs changing or
adding to........and if that where not enough....they move.
We as carp anglers can learn a lot from the Maggot...UCN have. _________________ lucilastic.... |

No...Pete's bait do not "jiggle".....but neither do they try to
re-invent the Ark.
There are components that would facilitate "jiggling".... _________________ lucilastic.... |

Hi Luci..
The Acai Berry, good Brazilian export, but not useful for what I am doing.. It does however possess some interesting qualities... that I do not need at present... I do, at times, wonder where your mind takes you in relation to bait.. especially when you look at opiate peptides....
Electroreception? :) Alka seltza.. the only good use in fishing I have found is in Sea Angling as Seagull bait wrapped in bread....
Interesting link..
http://chemed.chem.purdue.edu/gen...picreview/bp/1biochem/amino2.html
Interesting comparison to maggotts.. very apt.. I find the references to boilies confusing as to most people, boilies are round and boiled, with no particular regard to their content or signals.. boilies are just a convenient way to present a signal.. whatever that signal may be.. carp will not avoid a boilie, just a signal it gives out... _________________ Happy Carping

indeed Pete, but do certain signals attract some and repel others m8?

Short Amino Acid Sequences....typically 4-8
You are thinking of Opium I assume.
Opioid Peptides are mimicking agents, found within Wheat, Milk
and Diary Products....and as Endorphin,quite naturally,in humans.
Amongst other properties they can influence food intake..
UCN know all about peptides surely? ....... _________________ lucilastic.... |

"Amongst other properties they can influence food intake"
Maybe... in humans.. not particularly useful in a fishing bait though...
I take it you are referring to substances such as Casomorphins.. _________________ Happy Carping
