Another session under the belt

Arrived at the lake around 2.00pm and had a walk round, not another soul there.........great

Decided on choice of swim and the rods were soon out on their spots and the house soon erected. Not many fish were showing but with the wind blowing into my margin I was confident of a take or 2 during the night

2 others turned up for a short evening session, excahnged pleasantries and they went to their swims, about 30 mins later my margin rod signal a take and I'm in

Not too good a fight and soon the fish was butting the spreader block. On the scales the needle went round to 25lb 4oz, a new PB for me (see thread on main forum) The fish was a recapture from last year when I had it 24lb 4oz

Unfortunately Chad wasn't around to take his high standard of piccy so I asked one of the other anglers.

Shared my tea with this fella

Into the sack around 10.30pm and with it being a full moon I wasn't too hopeful of more action b ut how wrong I was. An hour after hitting the sack I was woken up by my middle rod, so out the bag like a rat up a drain pipe and I lift into the fish, it was only on for a few seconds and then all goes slack boohoo

Recast and back into bed only to be rudely awakened a couple of hours later by this one

17lb 8oz

No further action during the night but I did manage a couple of small pasties this morning

Did another 24 hr session yesterday until dinner time today. I pulled into the carp park to find 7 cars there which surprised me and also worried me, the lake is only about 3 acres and so a walk round was in order, all the anglers were feeder fishing for the bream and there was 2 swims free so I got back to the car and loaded the barrow. Humping it round the lake and 1 of the guys is packing, it's a swim I had fished before so decide to jump in there Both rods baited with CH Sweetcorn and out to their spots, I pult around 100 baits over 1 and put about 5 spods of sweet corn plus a few freebies over the other. Set up the house etc and sit back to top up the tan. Not too long a wait and I'm into a fish Coming in at 12lb 8oz a decent start to the session. About 3 hours later Chad turns up and as he's deciding where to fish I'm in again and this comes in at 17lb 4oz

Chad goes off to his swim and I get the rod back out with more freebies pulted over them. We have a brew or 2 and then it's time for some zzzzzzz's Not in the bag 15 mins and I'm in again, another common coming in at 16lb 10oz

Recast and back in the back, a couple of hours later and the same rod is off again it's another common coming in at 17lb 2oz. Chad was dreaming of men in uniforms so I didn't disturb him and did a self take instead LOL

Not in the bag too long and my other rod is off, this time the smallest of the session a mirror weighing in at 11.00lb. 4am and I'm rudely awoken by my alarm going into hyperdrive cripes!

and we have another 17lb mirror on the mat, it's one I have had before called 1/2 a gob 'cos it's badly deformed so no picture. 1 more fish for me with another small mirror weighing in at 12lb 2oz.

What a nice little session that was

Just done a short session on my syndi lake

Had a lovely looking Linear weighing in at 18lb 4oz but some numpty forgot to take his camera cuckoo!

Also had a pastie around 5lb.

Both caught on the home mades

Seems a while since this has been updated cripes!

I have been doing plenty of fishing but so much catching

A few sessions on the river have been ok but my last 2 carpy outings have ended up as blanks

So today I was determined to change that and had a session on my club lake, mist roling across when we 1st arived but was soon set up in chosen swim and sat with a brew in hand

Not too long to wait before my 1st indication and I had a nice 15lb2oz common on the mat

Recast and the sun was soon warming everything (inc me) up just nicely. August I was sheltering under my brooly in full waterproofs and October I'm down to a t-shirt cuckoo!

Around lunchtime I have a take on my other rod and soon have this 17lb 8oz mirror on the mat

No more fish but did come home with a nice tan

Up early today and arrived at my lake just before light, quick wander round and decided upon swim. Gear out the car and before the rods were set up I just had to take this picture, the sky looks like something out of a sci fi film cripes!

Rods out on their spots and within an hour a few fish are seen around one of the spots

The odd liner but nothing develops

Confidence is high with 1 of the rods but about noon 1 of the other rods is off and it's fish on

The fish puts up a decent account of itself and eventually is in the net. Once unhooked etc it weighs in at 18lb 12oz

The winter colours are certainly starting to show, the picture doesn't do it justice
