Step in the right direction...U.S. VenueBelow are new regulations at Lady Bird Lake(formely known as Town Lake) in Texas, U.S.
Lady Bird Lake is one of the most popular Carp Lakes in the States.
These new regulations are going into effect this year .
Harvest regulations for common carp on Lady Bird Lake would be changed from the current no daily bag limit and minimum length limit to limiting the daily bag to one common carp 33 inches or larger per day. Harvest of common carp less than 33 inches would remain unrestricted.
Carp Anglers are working towards gaining the acceptance of Carp as a Sport Fish and NOT A TRASH FISH within the U.S. Fishing Industry.
This is just an example of whats been going on in the States.
I can tell you this....The Bow Hunters are not happy at all.
P.S.
Anyone who wishes to show there support and send an
e-mail to the Texas Wildlife Department at ken.kurzawski@tpwd.state.tx.us . It would be much appreciated.
In your own words (being "polite, positive and non-pushy") stating you support this very important step in Trophy Carp preservation and that you think its a HUGE step in the right direction.
Thank You for reading.
Your fellow Carp Angler from abroad,
Ken 'Carp Zombie' Keene
