lac-de-castelnau isn`t that part of the River Lott, pretty sure I fished there last year ? 99.9% sure its the River Lott at Cabanac, if so access is quite difficult in most places, its actually 24 K to drive right the way around, if you`ve still got your 4x4, you`ll need it, its a long drive, but the scenery is spectacular and the fish are stunning, a totally unique style of fishing for me though, tackle needs to be strong, but no crayfish or poisson chat hassle, had some big chub fishing over pellet!

Thanks for the info Si,I'm of out again in September and decided to have a dabble on the tarn around albi as mum lives within 30mins drive of there.I'm trying to get my bearings of the area and doing a bit of research on the place.
don't know where the lot is from albi s/w-s/e etc hopefully find out soon.
As for the jeep Si still got it looking at exchanging it with a discovery 3 should be a comfy drive with a trailer and a lot cheeper than the 4ltr

Defo the right place mate, its awesome, had fish to over 43 on tigers, not many night fishing areas though, you`ll need a boat and echo sounder, it was busy whilst I was there, but it was a public holiday. The nearest town is ST Geniez D`olt, quite snaggy, enjoy !!!!!!
