Slide film or Digital ????

What gives the best shot ???

My EOS spits all over my digital mate

agreed, although with some slide films the colours seem to saturated and over exagerated.

i much prefer a portrait reversal film myself.

I cant see any point with going along with film!!!

With a decent digi camera 7 meg + you can get perfect pictures up to A4 if you want bigger then you are going to have to look at higher meg say 10+ then an A1 print is on the cards no problems.

With digi it's quicker, cheaper (In the long run) and with the right software more than you will ever have with film unless you have a darkroom and all that goes with it!!! and the time to process it!!!

Times are changing and film has no place in it as far as i can see!!!

Move on before time does it for you!!!

Mark ....I have lost count of how many times I have had this conversation with my mate TDP ......He keeps telling me Slide film is the best for quality of picture ( Still )

and when you look at his work ....its very hard to dissagree

I dont dIssagree with you Mark ....but my question was " which give you the best shot "

as for Design and Layout ...surly thats down to the inderviduals ability ....not realy the quality of the picture taken ( yes it helps to have a good quality shot ) but I can scan a slide in and do just the same as I can with a digital shot

Im no expert ( but Im keen to learn ) ....and I also know what my eye tells me, when I look at the end results

Yes it might be a slower process ( agreed )........but which gives the best quality ??? as personaly after traveling very long distances for my trophy shots and senic pictures ....I would rather take the extra time, to achive the better picture     my be Im just old fasioned LOL LOL being an old timer  boohoo

Ha ha ha Ron!!!

With some camras boasting 11Mil Plus now i dont think anyone will know the difference at the end of the day it all boils down to the post processing of the picture Wether on photoshop or in a lab!!!

Paper quality also plays a big part!!

its the digital printing that gets to me.

i odnt think im ever guna perfer pixels to grain!

Digi's are better quality and I think you do get better shots but digi cameras can sometimes be very sensitive to light which can give film cameras a big advantage
