"wish"?
As the Chelsea team is every bit the equal of Man USA, I think that its quite reasonable to be confident... it would be highly arrogant and stupid of anyone to think that there is only one team in it.

Your mate is entitled to his opinion, but if he formed that opinion, as he most definitely has, by reading media hyperbole, then he is very foolish to believe everything he reads.

No m8, I'm NOT in the media...
I'm the editor of a magazine and not in the market of collating, creating and sensationalising stories to the level of propoganda that exists in our press and broadcast systems.
Our only 'bias' is for carp and the carp angler... we're not in the business where we are trying to convince you that Bob Nudd (persay) or anyone else for that matter is the devil incarnate, nor are we ever guilty of decrying other forms of angling, or making up falsehoods about other fish species because they are not our 'favourites', carp...
Basically, we don't try to destroy the very game we love, as the football media are continually guilty of. 90% of what the football media says is pure diatribe.
Trust me, if you believe anything they say that isn't placed in "QUOTES" then you are extremely gullable and niave.

He's 59, not "over 60... and I don't see what 'age' has to do with suitability or quality... Fergie is older than Scolari, does that make him worse?
Scolari actually speaks English fairly well, but of course, if you read it in the sun then it must be true
The money? - Erm, well, yeah... do you know of a manager that does it for the love of doing it? - I don't!
Drogba and Essien are "QUOTED" as having pledged their future to Chelsea, and Lamps has NEVER been "QUOTED" as saying he might leave... is it the Sun or the Star you read???
The team will do the 'talking' charlie, and I'd much rather 'listen to what they say' than read what you think

Dear me, if you lot are going to listen to media drivel, at least pick out the "QUOTES" and not just read what you 'selectively' want to believe!
Didier Drogba insists that he has no intention of heading for the Stamford Bridge exit this summer.
The powerful Chelsea forward has been strongly linked with Milan and their city rivals Internazionale, but has reiterated his desire to remain in England.
The former Marseille man has been with the Blues since 2004, establishing himself as one of Europe's deadliest front-men during his time in the Premier League.
He became unsettled in London following the shock departure of Jose Mourinho in September 2007, but appears to have rediscovered his passion for the Blues.
With his former mentor recently taking the hot-seat at Serie A giants Inter it had been rumoured that the Ivorian hit-man would welcome the opportunity to renew his partnership with the Portuguese coach.
However, Drogba has quashed the speculation by committing his future to his current employers.
"I have a contract with Chelsea until 2010, so I am still a Chelsea player," the striker told skysports.com during a promotional campaign for his autobiography back in Ivory Coast.
"Mourinho is my friend and I am happy for him because he was missing coaching.
"He is a top coach but, like I said, my contract here runs until 2010."
Drogba, who was sent-off late on during the UEFA Champions League final with Manchester United for slapping Nemanja Vidic, also spoke of his disappointment at ending the 2007/08 season empty-handed.
"I am really disappointed with myself (for getting sent-off)," he added.
"I lost my head completely and I let the team down. I should not have reacted in that way.
"I let myself down, the Chelsea fans, my homeland - but that is life.
"I have now lost three finals. One Uefa Cup (with Marseille), an African Nations Cup and now the Champions League, but that is football.
"Hopefully I will win the next one."
To make it easier for you, I've highlighted the things he has been "QUOTED" as saying in yellow.

Have you agreed to join AC Milan?
"I have a contract with Chelsea until 2010, so I am still a Chelsea player," the striker told skysports.com during a promotional campaign for his autobiography back in Ivory Coast.

Yes he would like a move from Valencia(quoted as saying so), but equally quoted as saying he has no intention of playing outside of Spain for the time being.
Media think Barca, the player is quoted as saying he would like to play for Barca and Barca have said they would like him.
As to English sides, The mighty Liverpool might be a better bet, as he is friends with Torres and Villa has openly spoke about his admiration for Benny Boy.
Plus he might actually want to join a team in with REAL european chances
Who knows!!!!!!!

See, just by changing a few words of what the HACK wrote, the very same "QUOTES" were shown for what they really are, nothing at all newsworthy or meaningful!
The ENTIRE theme of the 'article' was 'inferred' by the HACK, and not one word of what Drogba ACTUALLY said leant any weight to it.
He NEVER said he was staying in the first (original) piece (marked in yellow)
Neither did he say he was going... I inferred that by a few simple changes
You are media sheep and beyond redemption if you cannot see this!

Ronaldo signalled his intention to "take advantage of a great opportunity" by joining the Spanish champions. "Everybody knows what I want but things don't only depend on me," he said. "I am not the person who decides but I hope to complete my dream."
Ronaldo said he had made the decision to leave United for Real before the Champions League final and revealed former Portugal coach Scolari advised him to make the move.
"It's a great opportunity and, as Scolari says, that train passes by only once and we have to take advantage of it," Ronaldo said.
Ronaldo has insisted he is not worried about upsetting United manager Ferguson by his desire to move to Madrid.
"It is my opinion," added Ronaldo. "That is why I don't mind if people get upset. It is my decision. It is what I want."

Chelsea are set to step up their interest in Real Madrid forward Robinho this week, according to the player's agent.
Robinho has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge for some time and the speculation has increased since the appointment of his fellow Brazilian Luiz Felipe Scolari at Chelsea.
Scolari only takes up his post on Tuesday but it is understood that he has identified Robinho as one of his top transfer targets and could be ready to make an offer of around £25million.
It has also been reported that Real Madrid are ready to sell as they look to raise funds in order to make an offer to Manchester United for Cristiano Ronaldo.
"It has been reported" - MEDIA SUPPOSITION - But what a nice thought... Chelsea can help to relieve you of your best assett

Eh?
Let's get this right... you suggest that these players have said NO to Chelsea, right?
You now suggest that if they don't sign, it will prove that they said no... right?
So, I think it fair to say that I can possibly name 1000 players who the papers have linked to Chelsea, and if ANY ONE of them doesn't sign this season it means that they, erm, 'rejected us'... is that it??
My word, you really are misguided, aren't you.

Jeff, you really don't get it do ya bud ... The question is: WHO asked these players?
Was it Chelsea, or the media?
Chelsea very rarely announce their targets until the deal is 90% done, mostly, with the contract negotions completed and just the contract to sign. There has been no 'official' approach to any of these players from Chelsea
Villa, for example, was touted as a target by the media for "Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool and Chelsea among others" with no foundation whatsoever to this purile media speculation... Villa didn't say "no" to chelsea, he said no to a move from Valencia, which is completely different - but you can believe whatever you want if it pleases you.
