now if anyone come`s within spiting distance of me i will know and be ready to act. but i think if this thing goes of then i want have to do much as if it`s someone up to no good then i think they will do the off very quickly.

your right it is. but it`s better than some toe rag running off with your rods and reels.
i fished last sat night and there was a couple of dodgy looking bloke`s walking around at 2am, it was a good job i was up having a fag when they went past. they were probably not up to any thing but still a bit Sus at that time of night.

yes mate were easy targets, i've hard stories of someone stealing something small and the angler giving chase only for his mate to turn up seconds later and take rod's, reels, buzzers, the lot mate.

that used to happen on the match Sean mate. some kid would pinch a bait box and leg it and when you took chase a couple of blokes would come from behind the hedge and pinch your pole.

gas operated air pistol is the answer , 25 shot mag , you aint going to kill them , but a few bits of lead in the legs is enough for most .
then pack up and go home and fish a different water for a few weeks

Whilst they probably do what they are supposed to do you could also end up being woken up several times during the night because a rabbit/rat etc has run across the beam I agree that's better than waking up to no tackle but if it's that bad, is it worth going?

lets hope it is only rabbits and rats that set it off,
I'm going to put a thread on the bottom to screw a bank stick too so as to get them of the ground, hopefully this will stop ground vermin setting it off.
