New water for this seasonI will be fishing a new water this season, as i wanted omething a bit closer to home so i could concentrate all my spare time on it, prebaiting etc
anyway iv had a few walks around this water and had a good look when they were thinking of spawning when we had that bit of good weather, so to see a few lumps cruising around was a bit of an eye opener to say the least, so that made my mind up for me
I have done a couple of sessions on the water and had a few carp out as well, with which i am well chuffed with
my last session on there was a 2 nighter and my first run absolutely roared off, i struck the rod and it flat rodded me  i could do nothing on that first run and it took into an unseen snag, gutted 
i caught 3 carp that session so all was not lost
i then did a quick over nighter and caught a lovely looking common of 27lb 14oz a couple of nights ago, when we had all that wind and rain
i am looking forward to puting in some serious time in this water over the coming season to see what comes out, the good thing that is in my favour is that it doesnt get fished that much, which is something that you dont get to see in this time and age
So im off tonight to do a 3 night session, fingers crossd i will bag one

Just got back fom my latest session, i set up my camp on my baited area as i had a choice of swims on the whole lake as i was the only one there, plus after seeing a few head and shoulder over the area that sort of made my mind up for me.
I didnt want to go heavy with the bait so i decided to fish pva bags on the first night and see what happened by the morning.
The first night when by and it was a bit slower than i anticipated but at least i had one in the bag, a stunning 17lb Linear nothing big but it was a start, that morning a put in half a bucket of spod mix to see if i could get them into a feeding mood, the day slipped by and nothing was caught but going on my other sessions they seemed to be coming out in the night, so i wasnt worried too much.
That night i had 2 runs with-in minutes of each other and they produced a 22lb 8oz mirror and a 20lb 8oz common, i was over the moon to say the least, and by morning i had picked up another couple of smaller commons.
The day passed with no action and onto the last night, things were a bit slow but i did manage to pick up another 2 mid double commons, so after the session had finished i ended up with 8 carp, none of the monsters but i was happy, till the next session
