mullet fishing URGENTright need replys quickly lol
im off to devon 2morro near the sea, well of corse it is its devon lol
any who
i wanna have a go for the mullet so any ideas tips, probs just gonna use bread flake....
also so you need a licence

Enjoy yourself mullet have a habit of getting away with it a lot.
There are 2 different types of mullet the main one is the soft mouth version.
You might hook into 10 and land one
Bread flake is the way to go to catch.
As for a licence you dont need one to sea fish

An idea to get 'em used to feeding on bread if they're at a place where not many peeps fish for 'em is to use an onion sack filled with broken up or mashed bread on a rope and tie it off below you in the water beside the quay wall (if fishing from a harour that is!)...
Has worked for me... Be prepared for much frustration but if you hook into one, the fight of your life....!!! Especially if like Steve says you keep your tackle light...

i think this is dated now as rich has gone.
but believe it or not its not the ''soft mouths'' that cause you problems.
its because they fight so damn hard and the hook jumps out.
you need a really soft rod and drag set really loose, especially when you go for netting.
