Jimbob's blogmay aswell start my own after reading the post from carpmanjay...
its thursday 22nd may when i hearing my message alarm on my phone go off,"bored lets go down beale park"quick reply back "my house in 10 mintues".after a quick chat at my house me and a mate decide to take a rod and some lures to try for a sniff from the old pike.its just a 15 minute drive down there so its all good.
Arrive down there and are greeted with our first task of the evening find a way around as the bloody gates which are locked.eventually we reach the back entrance to find the senses on the gates not working so second task of the evening a half mile walk to the lake.great we thinking as the light has already started to fade.Once we make the lake one angler was just walking of the lake so as you do"any luck fella" to which we are presently suprised"yeah 2 and the guy next to me had 4".He told us the bloke had a 22lb.We thought sure mate whatever but as we caught a glance of two very nice carp on the surface thought "dam!"we havent got no carp gear.Finally we have a cracking walk round the lake and saw lots of fish and for this lake its very exciting as its a tough lake to gets a carp bite.the lake was opened to the river and lots of the carp left.the lake record is 34lb.
Well yesterday i went down the tackle shop and the lad that works there is a friend of the carper who had caught.he told me that was 7 fish in 2 sessions!also the lad that does work there had a 21lb a couple months back.now im going sunday maybe monday but im so excited and beaming with passion and gona fish my guts out.the only thing is im ill thats why im not out there now.im trying to get better lol.but all of you can appreciate what im feeling whether it was for your first 30lb,40lb or first carp.my pb is 19lb 1oz and this is my first real shot of reaching the glorious mark of the specimen 20lb.

well good news i manged my first carp out of that lake only at 7lb but im chuffed.the lake is opened on to the river so at any time there could not be 1 single carp in there.
i went to the other lake on my permit and had nothing.but a mate whos been giving permission to fish the beale at night says there has been a couple come out to 18lb but on friday and man had a 29lb carp out so im so excited for the weekend.
there is light weed in the middle of the water so what i was thinking it use a helicoptor rig and pop up boilie and knock one out there maybe spod abit and then fish one close in for patrolling margin carp.
