How many points to win the Prem?Is it a fact that the teams outside of the traditional 'top four' are improving enough to regularly take points off of the contenders?
Will it be tougher to accrue more than, say 85 points, or will it be more?
Or is the improvement of those outside of the top four likely to simply strengthen the resolve of one or two of the top teams, steeling them, and creating a situation where they might break points records?
How many points will it take to win the Prem??

Maximum possible - 38 games @ 3 pts = 114 pts
30 wins 5 draws (3 lost) = 95 pts
25 wins & 5 draws (8 lost) = 80 pts
Somewhere inbetween or, higher or lower perhaps?
I'll stick my neck out and say 92 points:
29 wins & 5 draws (4 lost) and, it'll be chelsea who are crowned champions

Just to help you to determine how many points might possibly be attained, the record points tally for the PL is 95, set by Chelsea in 04/05
By beating Manchester United 3-1 at Old Trafford to break their points record capped an impressive season. The Blues moved on to 94 points, passing United's total of 92, set with 40 games played as opposed to Chelseas 38, in 1993/94.
"It is perfect," Mourinho said at the time. "The record was our motivation. We wanted to beat it and this is a special moment.
A draw in the final game gave this fantastic record a further boost, to 95 points.
*The average EPL winning score is 85, lowest 75 and highest 95.
