Fifth round fixtures:
Bristol Rovers v Southampton
Cardiff City v Wolves
Sheffield United v Middlesbrough
Liverpool v Barnsley
Manchester United v Arsenal
Preston v Portsmouth
Coventry City v West Brom
Chelsea v Huddersfield Town
Looks like a pretty good draw to me!

Well that's gonna be interesting. We'll either go down 5-1 and go out miserably or we'll sneak a goal and do the Mancs on their own ground. By what I can see, is it worth televising any others

Im a gunners fan, but cant see us beating the Skanky Manky's at their place....... Goold old Chelski had a touch, Micky Gray will be pleased!

"Looks like a pretty good draw to me!"
It would do.... It's the only draw you could have made that will guarantee your progression to the next round....
Don't fret.... you won't have to worry unduly about the FA cup after the mext round until next year....
|
Steve Howard
|
Really?
Have you bought that now, too?
|
Rooney!!!
|
We had a whip round the Memorial ground and this year it's ours...!!!
"UP THE GAS!!!"
|
Steve Howard
|
LOL Sam... I'm not sure what Manure have bid for the FA cup, but I suspect that your crew won't be able to match it... there are only one or two teams that might be able to break the monopoly
|
wuzy
|
looks like Cardiff are through to the next round
|
Steve Howard
|
Yeah
Hope we get them next round!
|
wuzy
|
so whos your team then Steve? not some glory hunting fan are you??
|
Steve Howard
|
No m8, not at all, but my team, who I've supported for over 40 years of trials and tribulation are the mighty Chelsea, so make of that what you will.
However, should you decide that I AM a 'glory hunting fan' - I will take every opportunity to remind you in future (if Cardiff should ever become a successful team ) that you are nothing more than a glory hunter, if thats the way it works.
|
wuzy
|
yes the trials of supporting a successful team
bring on the chelsea then

I hope not for your sake Pete, I'd prefer to 'meet & beat ' you in the final again
Barnsley won?... must have had an easy draw then?
|
Steve Howard
|
I don't know why, but I have a gut feeling that Pompey will put Man U out, now wouldn't that be fun!

............. W D L
Barnsley 1 5 10 10 29
Impressive away form this year, huh!
|
wuzy
|
could this be cardiff's year to win the fa cup
|
Steve Howard
|
You know what wuzy... I've got this sneaky feeling.....
NOT A CHANCE!
|
Steve Howard

In all seriousness, some of the championship sides have played extremely well to reach this stage, and there is no reason to suppose that they can't progress to the semi's, but whoever is left in at that stage, I would think that there will be at least one, top notch premiere league side in the mix... Avoid them (or beat them! ) in the semi, then its all on the day at Wembley... and who knows what might happen then... I mean, take a look at some of the results in the cups this year!
Man Utd 0-2 Coventry
Aston Villa 0-1 Leicester
Sheff Utd 2-1 Man City
Derby 1-4 Preston
Liverpool 1-2 Barnsley

Manchester United v Portsmouth
Bristol Rovers v West Brom
Barnsley v Chelsea
Matches to be played on the weekend of 8 and 9 March.

Rooney!!!

I think with our bobbly pitch, we may well have a chance against West Brom...
Potentially just 90 mins of football at the mem and then we're in a Wembley semi-final....
|
Steve Howard
|
Hope your boys make it past West Brom Sam, They deserve a glamour tie this season for their efforts

This is what the cup is about to me. Yet another Prem team for us to dispose of and Steve will correct me if I am wrong. I think that makes 12 on the trot now
Excuses?....Not a chance guys.
kind regards Jeff
