To the teams fans it's meaningful to virtually everyone else it's pointless
It's another trophy that due to money is becoming less and less important. The league cup is virtually worthless to the media and the big teams don't care about it (until the semis and final) The FA cup seems to becoming less and less glamourous. It's seems to be just about who wins the Premiership and the Champions league

The two sets of supports have a good day out and its worthwhile for good causes.
Looks like the mighty reds will have it all again this season. Portsmouth were substandard to say the least.
