yes but that really depends on if there has been the odd incident on there.
if its got a track record of drama's then its a big NO

i'd be happy by myself if it wasn't the kinda place that theres constant problems, if it was somewhere where you not safe by yourself then i wouldn't visit it full stop. we go fishing to relax, not to be on edge looking over our shoulders.

its a shame that its come to this, but in the times we live in it maybe needed.
we have the right to self defence dont we, so if you feel the need then so be it.

I would have no problem fishing alone

I have never felt the need, even when I travel abroad on to waters I know very little about

I think its down to the indervidual and how confident they feal

there`s one water not to far away from me and the first 3 rule`s are no trip wire`s  , no fire arm`s ,no baseball bat`s well i haven't fished there yet and don't know if i will witch is a shame as its a cracking water. i was told to fish in pairs or more and don't park in the car park your car will either be gone in the morning or burnt out .
but there are some waters where tackle theft has happened more than once but i would still fish um but i would take what ever measures i felt were right to keep me and my tackle safe.

i know a few waters like this, and tbh, at the moment i wouldnt fish them on my own....
but i know of a 40 + common that lives in a lake between 2 pikey camps, that is pretty dogey, may have a go there in the future, infact im making sure when i update rods reels etc keep the old ones for waters like this so if they do get nicked it aint that bad
