Cavado river,northern portugalI am fortunate enough to be spending the next couple of weeks on the banks of this river .My research has turned up very little so far other than the fact that there are carp in it .If Any one has any further info i would be extremely greatful .Also any info regarding permits etc, my inlaws are portugese so i am hoping they will help me get sorted when i get there but anything i can find out in advance would be great .

Oh well,
Gears all packed ,licence has been arranged along with a carp wagon,off in the morning with a decent map of the area ,will let you know how it went on my return.

Missed you just joined the forum.Have lived in porto for 12 years and know the north like the back of my hand!
How did you get on?I know there is carp is there but only small from what I´ve seen.
If your coming again or anyone else for that matter let me know and aIll tell you all I know.
