Canal CarpingIm planning on doing some Canal Carping again this year, Absolutely loved it before Im sure I will love it again.Does anyone want to share there success, where do you fish for Canal carp , Im sure theres loads of uncaught biggies in our Canal systems. I fished the Kennet and avon for most of my teenage years, and had great success.

ff about some a 40+ canal capr in the midlands, hush hush kinda place... think ill have to check it out..

I fish the grand union canal in the early 90s around the west drayton and southall stretches had some good looking fish the largest was around the 13lb,one of the local anglers showed us a photo of a stunning dark mirror around 20lb.As the area is quite a troubled area now i imagine there empty banks everywhere.
I would love to go down there now and have a go but i know there would be trouble ahead

I could walk for miles on the Canal and not see a soul, it gets a bit busy during the summer months with the boats, but backleads seem to do the trick, I had some cracking Carp up to 24lb going back, during the early 90,s, I used to ride my bike up there with all my gear hanging off all over the place. Fished a Marina for the best part of 7 years, it was hard to get away from it, the action could be prolific, I want to try some new spots now. Theres plenty of it to choose from!

can eny1 give me some tips on carp on the cannel and special pegs on the grand union

try the piscators stretch in watford just before cassiobury park,
one of the best canal fishing parts in the country
carp,barbel and chub all in there to decent sizes
but you have to be part of piscators to fish there
if not try hunton bridge or lady capel on the grand union, all hold decent fish
