Bait 4 the uncaughtThey've never been fished for.
Living on naturals.
What would be your approach.
My thinking is if you chuck a boilie at them they're just gonna
laugh and think what the heck is that.
Maybe a surface bait of some sort.
Perhaps it's back to basics, worms, bread maybe even flies.
What do you reckon guys.

Thats what I have been dealing with most of this summer, I find particles are the best to bait up with but bright obvious popups fished over them work a treat

Cheers guys
I think Neil has the answer....MAGGOTS
Probly use pinkies, keep them going in on a regular basis.
Get a few to float and hopefully bobs ya uncle.
56k...Not sure a bright pop up fills me with confidence but yes i will probly try a small (8-10mm).
Good angling
Maple..Baby sweetcorn perhaps.
BK..Tigers, i know they catch fish (Big time) good idea but not for me mate.

Hi MO ....dont totaly rule out a boiled bait
as speaking from experiance of my syndicate in France, which was stocked with virgin uncaught carp, they went straight on to boiled baits
I have had experiance of carp not taking boild baits as it happened on Chira first time I fished it .....took 15 bulk bag's over ....brought 14 back
had a great trip over there catching loads of big carp ...but they all came on Corn would have tryed maggots also, but it was not easy to get them over there

He's right he's right he's right
Why are fluro pop-ups so effective?
Curiosity... Thats the main factor I think
They won't shy away from it. It pushed the curiosity switch in the fish and they take it.
I was top rod on a unfished lake just by spotting the fish, spodding large beds of hemp and fishing a fluro pop-up ontop. I eventually had the big girl from the lake on a exactly the same tactic!
Also float fishing bread or worm worked brilliantly on this particular lake for some reason

Now that is what I call a proper fish, very nice!
Back to the bait there's not a fish that swims that wont eat a maggot! other alternatives wouls have to be caster's (very good but a pain to fish with), sweetcorn, hemp, and tigers.

There's a blast from the past
Carp find maggots irresistible, but NOT all of them
kind regards Jeff
