Avram Grant has a valid pointDoen't he?
I mean, the rescheduling of games has to consider the importance of league positioning, doesn't it? This is suspiciously unfair in my book!
"Chelsea manager Avram Grant has vowed to fight the controversial decision to make his side play two games in the space of just 72 hours during a key phase of the Premier League title run-in.
Chelsea have been told they must play Wigan on Monday, April 14 and then Everton on Thursday, April 17 to suit television schedules.
Grant, whose side are five points behind leaders Manchester United, claimed it gave United and Arsenal an unfair advantage.
He said: "I don't understand why we need to play on a Thursday. It's unfair."
"When we come to the end of the season it should be equal for all the teams. We need to fight in any way that we can to make it a fair decision."

You'll be whinging that Newcastle and Middlebrough shouldn't be in the Premeirship next because its too far to travel for those pampered puftas called footballers.
Chelsea (as have everyone else) taken plenty of television money and now moaning about having to play a couple of games in 3 days, certainly not the 1st time is it, other managers have said similar things and got nowhere so basically just get on with it

No, you're right Mac, its not the first time... but to move a very important game (possibly a title decider) foward to within 72 hours of another league match, at such a crucial point, for no other reason than they CAN, is nothing less than SCANDALOUS.
This isn't just any old match m8, its not a pointless mid table game, it is potentially a game that decides the outcome of the whole season, and thats just plain wrong no matter what you say or who the teams are involved! - whats the point of battling for every point for a whole season, only to engage in fixture congestion where there was none.
Finding yourself needing to take 3 points at Everton is tough enough, but to have the situation worsened by a needless moving of the fixture, making the task a great deal tougher, is imo an act of trying to control the destiny of the title... too many manc fans in high places methinx!
Would more people watch the game televised on a thursday than there would be on a saturday? - NO

dont worry about it steve we have got enough quality players in our squad, to start two completely different teams in both matches and win them.

whats more unfair is when a team in a relegation battle comes up against a big team and the big team rests players for other competetions.then the relegation team picks up 3 points even though against the big teams first team would have lost they and then gets an advantage over the other relegation teams.THATS UNFAIR
