Angling UnityUnited anglers ?
carp anglers , match anglers , predator anglers , game anglers , sea anglers , speciman anglers all under one banner 
now angling is a very selfish sport/hobby , by its very nature ,
most of us enjoy trotting off on our own for a bit of one on one with old carp face 
so knowing all this , do you think Angling Unity will work or will it implode due to constant power struggles or just plain old bickering ?
if you had some imput , how would you steer such a group and what would you want from it, as a carp angler ?

SATA have recently attained charitable status which makes it legally
very difficult for them to merge within an angling representative body.
They still support the ideals however,and are currenly working to
issue a "memorandum of understanding" on the issue....

S&TA will also become an affiliate member in much the same way ECHO will be through a block membership fee.

I understand that the S&TA have recently become a charity and thus makes it hard to commit fully(prob the wrong terminology, but they ain't fully in), so why did ECHO not sign up fully?
Cold feet?.....Worried about the quango?......Recently become a charity?....

We are fully signed up? ECHO isn't (as such) a national body we were an affiliate member of the SAA, now to be absorbed within the Angling Trust. ECHO will pay its membership fee to the Angling Trust rather than the SAA. The affiliation gives ECHO a voice on the next level down from the executive.
What's with all this use of the word 'quango', it is nothing of the sort? Get involved Jeff, your self imposed exclusion from all movement forward takes you further away from the truth of the matter and borders on the cusp of a conspiracy theorist, you do worry me at times!

It'll never happen, how can there be 1 voice for anglers.
We hate matchmen, they hate us so how can we be represented by the same voice.
How much is it to join? Sounds like a nice little earner for someone
