A long shot butdoes anyone know anywhere to fish near 'pont aven' in france, nearish to britteny, not after any propper fishing just somewhere to chuck a rod out for a couple of hours,

you could not have picked a more coarse fishing dry area m8  your best bet is to fish the estuary/river , some nice mullet and Bass fishing to be had .

ye it aint a fishing holiday but a little telescopic rod in the back of the car will be present 
is it the same as uk with regard to licences on the sea, and would you need rod licence

you dont need a licence in maritine zones m8 , but if you go further inland for coarse fishing , then yes .
