Just been talking about this on another forum 
the question was of Back Drops and how to improve your trophy shot
is it better to cluter it with folage or keep it nice and plane ??
Looking at several of my pictures ...I think a plane back drop does improve you trophy shot ( just my opnion )
What do you think ???

now a good fish will allways stand out ....but can we make it even better by controling the way its taken ???

tip number one remove lens cap!!
tip number 2 check for clutter in your photo
tip number 3 always focus lock on the eye of the fish.

Back Drops..
Think the first one for me is the best Ron.
I think it not only looks good, but it tells the story of how big or what the water looks like where the fish was caught from.
Then if you going to have trees or greenery in the background, make note there’s no fisting kit in there, ie rod holders /bags..
Angler in the water always looks good too.

Well you have a few facters to concider from what i gather if you wear a read hoodie/top/T-shirt this helps to separate definition from you and a Mirror carp and black works well with Commons!
Also with no back drop in low light you will be able to get some bounce back from the the flash off the foilage enhancing the image.
Saying that a good ol sunset behind you works a treat too!
As long as you have a good flash and theres no distractions behind you your going to be in with a good image!!

My 3 tips on photography in general.
1. Don’t be static, What ever your subject moving a to your left or right a few feet my make all the difference.
2. If you cannot us a tripod, to give your camera that little less camera shake, (when you need it)set the self timer to go off. You can hold your camera nice and firm.
3. Think we all just want to get our NEW camera out of the box and use it.
But when you have sometime on your hands (maybe when waiting for your next fish) read your camera manual handbook, I will be surprise if you will not learn a tip or two from there, or maybe something you didn’t know your camera can do?
