Thanks Steve,
Well here goes :
The Beginning of my dream
"Carp Anglers Dream"
I had been searching for a Lake in France for about 5 years and being a dedicated Carp angler myself (of about 25 years experience) I knew what I was looking for, but just could not get the right contacts or the right lake or the right deal or information.
In fact I almost gave up on the idea, owing to the amount of money I had spent going backwards and forwards to France to look at them, at one stage i did 2 months none stop but to no avail.
But so strong is my passion to have my own lake and carp fishing that I vowed I would look at one more Lake before giving up. Well it turns out it was the same:
Too small, no Fishing Rights, to Far from amenities, Ect, Ect, Ect, so yet again a wasted journey.
So I thought well, I've given it my best shot and thought it's not ment to be and gave up there and then.
I decided to go for a drink in a Tabac bar as I had 4 hours to go before my plane took off and feeling a bit low due to looking at another puddle in the ground.
Their I am drinking my Stella Artois in the middle of this beautiful village, When A women sat near by and being in France I was polite and said good day in French. On which she replied the same and also saying (this time in English) " Judging by your French Accent you must be English"
Well we chatted in English for a while and she eventually told me what she did for a living " I'm an Estate agent " so I thought I would kill time by looking at some of her properties for sale.
Entering the door I noticed a picture of a lake in the shop window, I jokingly said "I suppose that's been sold ? " she replied "No and it's available for viewing this afternoon if you want". Well judging by the picture and the fact I had time to kill I said ok.
Driving through the little Hamlets and villages along the way I started to realise the peace, beauty and tranquillity of this lovely valley in the Heart of France. After turning one more bend we drove down a small road which then lead down through the gates to a site that made me feel like I was in Carp heaven.
I knew from that moment, that this place is a Carp Anglers Dream. I would now like to share my dream with other Carp Anglers and welcome you all to my Dream:
CARP ANGLERS DREAM
