are you joking mate???!!!!
i live near wakefield and you cannot tell me that its dry, looks like you havnt done your homework, so ill help you do it.....
yes there is alot more waters down south, and also bigger and larger stamp of bigger fish aslo, but theres still loads to go at!
ill name a few of the better carp waters....
selby 3 lakes...syndicate on lakes 2+3 which is 375 per year, then lake one is day ticket at something like 20 quid for 24hours.
ON the wakefield angling club book you have.... horbury lagoon which holds a nice number of 20's and a few low 30's. Wakefield lagoon,( right next to horbury) has again a decent number of 20's along with the biggun, c-scale at around 34lb. then if your after a challenge, go after the 40 in Nostell top lake, its 27acres, got a few other 30's and most others are 20's with one or 2 doubles. other lakes include half moon...30 in there...newmiller dam...well some good ones in there thats all ill say you also have river stretches and canals. just over 20 pound for the year book cant go wrong
then theres the leeds book, wintersett, leeds and bradford lagoons, catterick, and alot of river stretches. 40 quid for the yearbook, night permit extra.
sally walshes dam,Ackworth, used to have sally in at 49.12 i think was her biggest weight, now got about 4 30's including beefy and flash which go to 38. (flash was out a few days ago at 38) thats day ticket 14 quid per 24 hour.
fairview lake near selby, holds a 40 and few other 30's and some stunning backup fish. google it and get the web addy for more info.
plenty of park lakes to go at which hold some good fish too.
thats just a few good lakes of many mate |
