Could anybody explain or show any diagrams of dead and live baiting for pike please. also things like using a dead bait like a lure and stuff??? also i fish a 20acre lake with just perch pike and roach which are all big and has lillies sticking out about 15m from the bank all the way around and is deep in the middle. where aouts is the place to put the lures and bait etc?
any help appriciated

Have a look at SIMPLE RIGS
Remember though, the pike once out of the water is extremely frail and needs proper handling. If you have never been piking before, or have never handled a pike before I suggest you go with someone who has and can learn the basics from them as I'm sure the last thing you want is a pike going belly up  _________________ under 18? mac`s spot on pike might look hard as nail`s but they are a very delicate fish, and need to be handled with care.
have done dead baiting and live baiting but not for a long time now as i prefer to lure fish for them.

thanks lads. i have had 3 pike thats all. but i got my little unhookin mat for on the boat and treat em as well as a carp _________________ Mid Wales Carper |

You should treat them BETTER than Carp. Carp are a hardy fish, pike are NOT.
