I'd go at it with the method mate, take a variety of hook baits. I'd start with corn then if no good go onto pellet and maybe mini boilie. A small method feeder with Sensas method mix

But, it really depends on how well you want to do in a match, try and watch the guys who do well, what are they doing. I'll guess they are using poles with maggot/squatt etc and maybe cupping in a bit of pellet and chopped worm. Match fishing (done well) is a tottally diff ball game to any other fishing mate. Talk to some of the guys, I bet they are decent folk

Yer The Lake IS Only SMall with an island in the middle but the fish dont normally tend to feed that much wen keepnets are in the water i dont know why but it is just usually alot slower for everyone
i was going to try a maggot feeder filled with maggot and chopped worm and on the hook a lobworm. I was going to cast right to the middle of the lake as far away from the keepnets as possible and see if there reaction is different.

ive just watched the match angling episode of carp crew.
The best method seemed to be fising with a float, be it waggler or pole, fish up in the water, maybe 2 or 3 feet from the bottom, and feed constantly with little pouches of 3mm pellet, even when plaing a fish.
on the hook, a small bit of potato, punched out with a 4 or 5 mm punch, and died overnight in coffee or gravy, to make it the same colour as the pellet itself.

that cam from bob nudd, so it must work!

On those types of water i would think the carp are atrractted to the main feature which is the island, you could try your method ben the maggot feeder, or a groundbait feeder a favourite mix of mine is 1/2 brown crumb 1/4 expo and 1/4 sensas lake. Or if its a warm day try getting them up in the water with a constsant drip of pellet or maggot then fish shallow with either a maggot or pellet hook bait. As with nearly all match fishing situations little and often with your feed.
Good luck mate.
