Hi all,
I have herd that the magazine is no more? Is this correct.
I was just about to ask my local newsagent to start ordering Carp Addict Magazine in for me?
Rumours are always rumours but if anyone can put me right.
Thanks.

Guys there really is only one person who can answer your questions. Jon Banister is the sole owner of Carp Addict and as such holds all the answers.
Steve Howard, Myself and none of the team on the forum can answer, as we just do not know. Dispite posting the same on other forums and getting slatted for doing so, it really remains the fact, we really dont know
I understand that some folk have e-mailed Jon and have yet to receive an answer, but I am afraid this remains the only route I can suggest to you all.
jon-banister@carp-addict.com
Sorry we cant be more postitive or shed any light on the situation and good luck with all your enquiries
kind regards Jeff _________________ jeff@carp-addict.co.uk

maybe so but he can't just bury his head in the sand. if he gave an explanation noone would hold it against him.
by ignoring everyone and everything to do with the magazine he's making a bad name for himself. CA had a lot of loyal customers. what about people with subscriptions? surely they are entitled to a refund.
carp addict has so much going for it. a simple answer before it's name is ruined is all people want. |

what recent problems billy , the impression i had from the vibe of the carp addict team was that all was goigng really well after the re launch / new format of the mag especially as its monthly all year round now , be a great shame if the mag does go to rat shizer as its one of the best.
also if jb decides not to carry on with the mag is there any chance of anyone else taking it on ie steve howard, jerry hammond. or one of the existing staff . _________________ follow the 419 and beware of the moon |

Magazine..
Due to the recent global financial difficulties we have taken the decision to suspend the magazine. As many of you know we operated on limited advertising. The magazine was re launched at the start of the worst global recession in history which of coarse we wasn’t to know. That said with our limited advertising that we struggled to fill it made trading conditions very difficult.
As for myself having personal problems is completely untrue, I for one have never been happier. So the comment in particular posted by Pete B somebody I held in esteem is complete rubbish. And im saddened that someone who doesn’t know me personally would write that, let alone the fact my family look in from time to time, bad angling!
On a personal note I would like to thank everyone who has supported the magazine over the years. The subscribers have and are being contacted and given a full refund.
I am considering a position with another magazine, and also considering resurrecting the magazine in the spring/summer when the economic situation improves..
You can catch me on talksport on Saturday morning, and on BBC 1 carp angling with griff rhys jones and Gary Bayes in the spring.
But up until that time I am doing what I love best and going fishing!

Glad to hear all's well with you Jon and hopefully one day maybe the mag will resurface but until then enjoy yerself with your lovely lady and catch plenty of fish , as for Pete B i told you what prik he is and that just proves it ! He can only find fame for himself by slagging off other successful anglers to make up for his own dismal failings as a long term noddy , talks a good game though but as we all know results speak for themselves , enough said !!
Good luck mate |
