It also contains vits A, B ,E , minerals as well as sulphur compounds, Also Allicin which from memory acts as some sort of antioxidant but is unstable & maybe an enzyme
All I know is that I hate the smell of the stuff especially on the train in the morning

Vitamins A & E are useful to a carp, B & C are readily available to carp from other sources.... What about pH??? _________________ Happy Carping

Garlic works because it tastes good , some things are as simple as that.
If you had something with garlic in it could you tell me what vitamins it had in it just by taste alone ???
I really don't think a carp can ... _________________ There are 3 types of people in the world .

Brendon
I don’t think he has tortured us enough yet!!!!!!!
Have a look at what the fish feed industry use it for & it doesn’t seem to have much to do with taste
Possibly Natures answer to Chloramphenicol
As for the p/H thing I have an idea but I could well be wrong as is usually the case |

Interesting reading if you have some spare time...
Hunter... you may well be right...
Sugars... Lucy, you are such a sweet thing..
Taste... carp do not have the luxury of allowing themselves to like/dislike a certain taste, they are basic creatures with food/non food decisions, what it tastes of is largely immaterial... anyone disagreeing with this statement is welcome to join me in a bloodworm and silt sandwich...
pH is a bit of a red herring in the case of Garlic though as it is best used within an acidic environment.... try mixing it 30:70 with cayenne pepper...
