No idea Alan, I can remember talking to one of the guys about it, paypal I think, but there doesn't appear to be any movement on it yet.

I think it will make a vast difference to membership numbers... its just the convienience of it all really.

Given that 99% of carp anglers are male, more often than not, going to the post office is a chore we see as a time-consuming chore.
I now I'm guilty as charged!

Payment on line is DEFINITELY the way forward imo. LOL

What is it for, is it an angling club of some sort, if so what waters do they control?

Just to let you know, the new website should be available towards the end of the year although I'm not sure if that'll incorperate a Paypal facility?

The current website was removed temporarily and should be back up shortly.

Reaperman.

ECHO, in its inception around six years ago, was primarily concerned with the risk of illegal (and legal) carp traffic from the continent. Diseases such as Koi Herpes Virus (KHV) were beginning to take a 'foothold' and the risk of infected fish being introduced was steadily increasing. KHV has a 95% mortality rate once 'active' in any given water body and dozens of waters have been destroyed through this disease... and the list grows rapidly, unfortunately.
The organisation has in many ways come to epitomise the feelings of concerned carpers in the UK and is now a consultative body for carp (and carpers!) regarding the preservation of the species, which is seriously at risk of being compromised by the proliferation of water borne pathogens (diseases).
The organisation has represented 'our' concerns in The Houses of Parliament and will hopefully continue to do so. Earlier this year for example, KHV became a notifiable disease. Meaning, once the disease is confirmed on a particular venue, it has to be notified to DEFRA (The Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs).

It really is a case of 'disease' management through education now and the organisation (as always!) is in desperate need of members. It matters!

Any additional info' anyone needs I would be happy to answer any questions you may have, to the best of my knowledge.
