ECHO Article Competition Spring 2009!
* Prizes Listed Below *
Once again ECHO in conjunction with the Carp Addict Forums are offering a fantastic opportunity for budding authors to submit an article to be included within issue 14 of the Echoes Spring Magazine 2009. There will be two competitions that will run alongside each other one for junior members (under 18’s) and one for adults.
What is it that makes our sport unique, what is it that inspires us to fish? These are the questions that have inspired angling writers worldwide and to put their passion in words! What have you to say about your passion for angling!

There are some great prizes on offer for the successful author’s as well;
'Tackle Box' have donated a TB Scarab bivvy for the junior prize;
"One of the most tested, reliable bivvies on the market. We thought the Scarab would be a remarkable bivvy. Now with hundreds sold - we know. This extremely comfortable bivvy provides a very roomy shelter for one person, or when needed, easily accommodates two."
And for the adult prize Rob Maylin of 'Big Carp Magazine' has donated a choice to the winning entry of one of his books (Tiger Bay, Fox Pool, or Bazil's Bush), that he will personally sign - so start writing now before it’s too late!

This is truly the dawning of a new age for carpers and anglers alike in the UK and ECHO has to be fully in line with the changes that are taking place within our sport, not just politically, but just as importantly in addressing what carpers feel are the issues that will achieve benefits for them on a local basis and for the sport nationwide. Your article can be as 'light' or as 'heavy' as you deem fit, just believe in what you write and write it with appetite!
The criteria for entry are fairly simple;
Your article must contain no more than 1000 words.
Your article should under no circumstances undermine the ethic of the ECHO organisation. (Please view the ECHO website if you are in any doubt as to the nature of this principle by clicking on this link).
Your article should be exactly that, your article. Please do not present an article on somebody else's behalf.
That your entry article should be received by me (contact details below) no later than Monday the 2nd of February 2009.
In addition it would be in best keeping if you were prepared to supply quality, full size images to furnish your entry if it were chosen as one of the winning ones.
For anyone needing further information regarding this competition I encourage you to post any questions within this thread. If you wish to PM me for private consultations do not hesitate to do so.
For anyone wishing to submit an article for this fantastic competition, please send your article to me, either via the PM function, or to my E-Mail address; richardcrimp@hotmail.co.uk - no later than the date given above. I would like to take this early opportunity to thank you for your entry submissions in advance.
Lastly I would also like to thank both Tackle Box and Big Carp Magazine (both ECHO Corporate Sponsors) for donating the fantastic competition prizes. Both the successful articles will also appear on the ECHO website.
Thank you and the best of luck to all the entrants!
Richard
